Is Paris on its way to becoming the new New York ? That's what the plans from the real estate group Covivio suggest as they aim to transform one of the oldest towers in the La Défense area. What's on the agenda? A rooftop and a very high-up restaurant, offering a panoramic view of the capital and the surrounding cities!

A new chapter in life for one of the oldest towers in the neighborhood

Its name? CB21. This tower, built between 1972 and 1974 , is one of the pillars of La Défense. Spanning 68,000 m2 and 41 levels, it was purchased by Covivio in 2007. And this year, the company announced its desire to give this tower a fresh direction. Among the ideas presented: a 500 m2 private rooftop, as well as a bistronomic restaurant on the 41st floor. Additionally, there will be conference spaces overlooking gardens and other versatile areas. The goal? To make this CB21 tower, “a true living space open to its surroundings,” far beyond its traditional use related to business and work.

A project set to come to life in one to two years

We'll need to be patient to enjoy this rooftop and restaurant that really make us dream. These new spaces are expected to open their doors between 2027 and 2028, adding to the lobby, auditorium, dining areas, fitness rooms, and gardens.

Architect Nicolas Sisto is steering this project alongside the Covivio teams and plans to draw on the design and architectural styles of the 1970s while infusing it with a breath of modernity from our era.
