For a few months now, RATP has been on a real mission against fare evasion, even going so far as to drastically increase the fines, including for a simple forgotten validation of the Pass Navigo. A fine that now reaches the whopping amount of 70€, even if you’re just an honest citizen who simply forgot their Pass Navigo at home. And since everyone can have a brain freeze sometimes, and we wouldn’t want you to face any mishaps, we're sharing this tip that could help you save some money.
A forgetfulness can happen quickly
We’ve all experienced that moment of panic when, after running like crazy to the station due to a huge delay, you suddenly realize you’ve left your Pass Navigo in the pocket of your jeans, which is currently piled up on the chair. But yes, you know, that...e famous chair that serves as a storage space, coffee table, laundry basket, and even possibly pantry. In short, it's pretty much everything but a means to sit on. Three solutions are available to you. First, turn back with your tail between your legs to go fetch the famous Grail, risking to make your departure delay even worse. Second, face your destiny, illegally pass through the turnstiles, and be ready to shell out 70€ at the end of each hallway. Or, third, use the extremely handy trick that we’re about to reveal to you.

A Perfect Solution
To avoid headaches and unwanted fines, all you need to do is head over to the nearest RATP ticket counter and request a temporary voucher. This little piece of paper will simply allow you to prove for 24 hours that you indeed hold a valid transport ticket, so you can travel legally. If you have an annual Navigo pass, you can take advantage of this trick three times a year, while those with a monthly Pass can use it only twice. And hey, if that doesn’t work for you, another tip is to store your transport ticket on your phone, because, strangely enough, you’re much less likely to lose that in the Bermuda Triangle of “the chair”...
