Indeed, the disappearance of the paper ticket has brought along a number of computer and technological bugs. While trips are supposed to be valid for 2 hours, some users have noticed they were charged twice after switching between two different modes of transport. This issue seems to be partly linked to certain misconfigured validators, which have been reported by the transport authority since… 2019!


Solutions That Are Taking Too Long

This malfunction, which has been pointed out for a while now, affects around 10,000 ticket machines, but is supposedly being fixed. At least, that’s what Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) announced last year, without any effective changes just yet.

Not only do some keep paying over and over, but unfortunately, they then find themselves faced with a customer service that is deaf to their complaints, and shines with its silence, to the great dismay of users. A specialized mediator is expected to be set up in the spring by IDFM to resolve unresolved ticketing disputes. One thing is for sure, they'll have a lot on their plate.
