Metro: At least three lines closed in the capital this Sunday!

While Parisians have had to deal with the closure of Saint-Michel station on line 4 and République on line 8 for the past few weeks, it seems that this new week marks another level in the world of Parisian railway headaches. And for good reason—no fewer than three lines will be closed at some point during the day, including the worst one in the capital.

A bad habit

On one hand, this Sunday, October 11th will, unsurprisingly, be marked by the closure of line 13. And it's no wonder, given the countless times Paris's worst line (in the world?) has let us down on weekends. To be specific, it will be completely inaccessible until noon and no connections

e will not be guaranteed. Fortunately, a replacement bus will be put in place, and we figure that's something, at least.

On the other hand, it's line 6 that will cause trouble again and, same old story, you're already familiar with the tune. The mint green line will be completely closed, and this time, all day long. Even worse, the replacement bus won't start running until 3pm, since its route is located on the 20km Paris circuit, thus blocking surface traffic all morning.

A New Addition

Watch out though, for once, a new line joins the chaos this Sunday: it's... line 11! The brown line will be completely shut down, with no connections guaranteed, but fortunately, just like Paris's worst line, service will resume from noon onwards. Behind all these disruptions, modernization work carried out by the RATP to improve the network as much as possible. Well, so once again, we grit our teeth and keep in mind the prospect of a super metro of the future !
