The Fête de la Musique is an absolutely wonderful moment. For one day and one evening, the whole of France vibrates in unison, to the rhythm of hundreds of concerts. And of course, the capital is no exception. However, this day of joy — which also marks the summer solstice, or the longest day of the year — will be marked this year by a less cheerful note: the closure of no less than 5 metro stations.

A whole neighborhood sealed off

Once again, for 2026, professional and amateur musicians from the capital are going above and beyond to offer us fantastic events and let us dance all day long, even until the early morning for some! But beware, depending on where you end up, you might be surprised by the lack of transportation. Indeed, the whole ...One zone in the 10th and 11th arrondissements will be completely inaccessible due to the closure of the metro. Specifically, from 4 PM until the end of service, you won't be able to rely on the stations République (lines 3, 5, 8, 9, and 11), Temple (line 3), Jacques Bonsergent (line 5), Filles du Calvaire (line 8), and Goncourt (line 11). None of these stops will be served, and of course, connections will not be maintained for safety reasons. The reason behind this is an enormous concert taking place at Place de la République.

A Blessing in Disguise

While this situation might complicate some people's plans — but hey, with so many stations around, everyone should manage just fine — there’s actually good news that should make everyone smile! Although these five stations won’t be in service, six lines will be open all night! So, Lines 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, and 14 will be at your service throughout the night, just like all RERs, the T4, and several Transilien trains. Just a heads up, not all stations will be accessible, and you might experience longer wait times than usual between trains. But this is still fantastic news and definitely makes up for the closure of a few little stations!Actions during the day, right?
