Metro: a station closed on Paris's worst line starting tomorrow!

It's shaping up to be quite a complicated autumn for commuters on the capital's worst line. Not only are there countless Sundays when it will let us down, but on top of that, it's going to experience a number of station closures. And it all starts this Thursday, September 24th!

Now that summer has packed its bags, leaving behind the distant memory of summer work in Paris public transport, we'll put your mind at ease right away — the season ahead shouldn't throw you off too much, with closures announced left and right. And after lines 8 and 4 — which closed their République and Saint-Michel stations — it's now line 13's turn to shake things up.


The beginning of the trouble

So, starting this Thursday, September 24th, the Porte de Saint-Ouen station will be completely closed, and this until September 27th included. No connections will be provided with the T3b that runs through the area

during the four-day closure. However, bus lines 21, 54, 137, 237 and 274 will have increased service to make up for it a bit. These modernization works aim to prepare the line for the arrival of the future MF19 trains, as well as the upcoming automation of the line. Which means yes, it causes us problems far too regularly for our liking, but it's only to welcome us better later!


A Series of Headaches

Unfortunately, you'll need to show a little more patience before line 13 becomes the best in the capital, and in the meantime, you'll have to deal with quite a few closures. Starting with this Sunday the 27th (which has its share of problems), since the line will be closed until noon. And it happens again on Sundays October 11th, November 1st, 15th and 29th, and December 13th. On top of that, Porte de Clichy station will be completely closed from October 29th to November 1st inclusive, and you won't be able to count on Mairie de Saint-Ouen stop from November 26th to 29th.
