Since its opening in the heart of the Tuileries Garden in 2018, the eponymous market has carved out a place for itself among the must-visit Christmas markets in the capital, becoming the most famous of them all. For over a month, it offers us craft stalls, delicious treats, chances to meet Santa Claus, and even a giant ice rink. However, such an event inevitably attracts crowds, and to ensure everyone's safety, the Paris prefecture had no choice but to take drastic measures.

A Timed Closure

Every year, the Tuileries Christmas Market welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world to enjoy the richness of the event. A record attendance, which forced this year RATP to announce the closure of the Tuileries station. And unfortunately, the Paris transport authority is not doing things by halves, as this closure, which started on Saturday, November 22, will take place every weekend until January 4, 2026, included, the closing date of the market. For over a month, every Saturday and Sunday, the stop will no longer be serviced between 4 PM and 11:45 PM, and all its access points will be closed. Fortunately, the metro will reopen to ensure the end of service, allowing you, if you live nearby, to get home safely at the end of the evening.

A must-see event

But then, you might ask, in light of this closure, how can we access the market and fully enjoy the magic of Christmas in the heart of the capital? It's very simple, just head to the Concorde station (lines 1, 8, and 12) or Palais Royal – Louvre Museum station (lines 1 and 7). And in either case, we guarantee you, you won't have to walk too long to savor some hot wine, delicious waffles, gingerbread, truffade, and all the other delicious treats this timeless place has to offer.
