The 21st of June is for many one of the most anticipated days of the year. First of all, thanks to the summer solstice, it marks the longest day of the calendar, as well as the official return of the sun and more pleasant temperatures. Then, it's the Fête de la Musique, a unique celebration during which the entire capital gets in tune to bring us some fantastic concerts. Finally, each year, it's one of the rare Parisian nights when the metros run all night, much to everyone's delight!

6 lines for a sleepless night

For the occasion, this year again, there are 6 lines that do us a great honor, accompanying us throughout our nocturnal wanderings. Plus, in addition to the three automatic lines (line 1, line 4, and the 14), this year the 2, the 6, and the 9 are joining the celebration by extending the fun. However, be careful as only certain stations will be open for each of them.

A flood of good news

But the metros won’t be the only way for us to get around freely, as some RER trains, suburban trains, and trams will also be in the mix. After the end of the regular service, the RER A and B will be completely accessible all night, and the C, D, and E will be partially available. The same goes for the H, J, L, N, P, and R lines of the suburban trains and the T4. Lastly, the night buses will also be available as usual.

And just like good news never comes alone, this evening will also be the perfect opportunity to enjoy a special fare, with a ticket priced at 4.20€ for unlimited travel across the entire network, available from June 21 at 5 PM to June 22 at 7 AM. There will also be lots of musical performances available throughout the network, especially at the Jaurès station or at the Duroc station, cleverly renamed Durock for the occasion. So, are you ready to dance all night long?
