June 21st is one of the most anticipated days of the year for many. First of all, because of the summer solstice, it marks the longest day of the calendar, as well as the (official) return of the sun and summer temperatures. Then, because it’s Music Day, a unique celebration where the entire country tunes in to bring us some amazing concerts. Finally, just like every year, it’s one of the few Parisian nights when the metros run all night long!

6 lines make for a sleepless night

This year, once again, 6 lines are giving us a tremendous honor by accompanying us throughout our nighttime adventures — for the bravest among us, don’t forget!

It's not just any Sunday! In addition to the three automated lines (lines 1, 4, and 14), lines 2, 6, and 9 are also joining the celebration by extending their hours. However, be careful, only certain stations will be open for each of these lines.

A flood of good news

But the metros won't be the only ones to let us move around freely, since the RER, suburban trains, and trams will also join the fun. After the regular service ends, the RER A and B will be accessible all night long, and the C, D, and E will partially be available. However, be careful, as the trains will be much less frequent than during the day (one per hour on certain branches of the E, for example). The same goes for the H, J, L, N, P, and R lines of the suburban trains and the T4. Finally, the night buses will also be available as usual.

And just like good news never comes alone, this evening will also be a great chance to enjoy a special fare, with a ticket for €4.30 to travel unlimited on the entire network, from June 21 at 5 PM until June 22 at 7 AM. Numerous musical performances will also be available throughout the network, especially at Jaurès station, where you'll find all day long a hair and makeup stand, a nail bar, a and of course lots of concerts.
