Taking the subway every day to get to work is like participating in the Hunger Games, 365 days a year. Every morning, each commuter waits with bated breath to see if they will be one of today's sacrifices due to construction work, travelers on the tracks, or even, though rarer but not impossible, a bomb alert. Fortunately, sometimes, it's possible to anticipate a few inconveniences, like during a strike. And that's the case today, since RATP announced just a few hours ago a social movement that will only affect one line: line 6…
A two-part strike
According to the first announcements, it’s the entire line that will be affected.
Due to this disruption, and starting from the opening of the stations at the end of dawn, no stops will be spared, and, on average, you can expect only 2 trains out of 3 throughout the day. Even worse, by end of service, the traffic will be completely interrupted, meaning the line will close over an hour before the normal closing time, which is around 00:40. However, there’s good news! This social movement is expected to be brief and will end the following day, just in time to spare us over the weekend and allow all the tourists to enjoy the view at Bir Hakeim without a worry.

To avoid frustrations and delays, we recommend, if possible, to give yourself a little extra time than usual, reschedule your most important appointments if you can, or prefer remote work for those lucky enough to have that option. For everyone else, you have two choices: face the potential challenges of this strike (crowds, extended waiting times), or opt for alternative routes, which may be a bit longer but could save you from a lot of hassle. Lines 1, 4, 9, and 14 intersect with line 6 over various stretches, to bring you closer to your final destination (not referencing any not-so-great horror movie series, of course!).if the subject allowed for it). Anyway, good luck to everyone!
