Bad news for Line 12 users. Did you think you could finally relax and come home at any hour of the day or night every evening of the week (within the metro's operational hours, of course)? Not so fast! While the closures that were happening every Wednesday and Sunday since the start of the year ended last Sunday, it’s only temporary, and the struggles are returning for you starting May 10!

Tough evenings ahead

We know, taking the metro in Paris can quickly turn into a challenge. Especially when a line decides to be under construction (with a number of disruptions to follow) for more than half the year! And it seems that’s exactly what Line 12 has decided to do.

who's been playing with our nerves since the beginning of the year. On the menu, 2 to 3 closing nights per week since January. And after a short break of barely a month, we’re more or less back to the same pace starting in May. The pine green line will be closed from 10 PM on the following dates: May 10 and 17, June 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, and 28, July 1, 5, 8, and 9, and finally, August 19, 23, 26, and 30 in 2026. That's no less than 18 Wednesdays or Sundays – including all of June – affected by unexpected line suspensions.

More and More Interruptions

And that's not all, as the line will also be inaccessible on two occasions, during the day this time. We’re starting gently, with May 31, a day during which no trains will run between the stations Porte de Versailles and Mairie d'Issy.

From the beginning to the end of the service. And we move on to a much more challenging event: the closure of the line between the Jules Joffrin and Concorde stations, this time for no less than 10 days, from July 16 to 26, 2026. One thing is for sure, summer is shaping up to be relatively tough if you plan on using the 12 over and over. And in the meantime, let’s be sensible and head home before 10 PM to avoid the hassle!
