Living in Paris means waking up every morning with the worry of finding your favorite metro station closed for some never-ending work. Thankfully, in its immense kindness, the RATP anticipates these unexpected disruptions so that users of the different lines can organize themselves as best as possible. And this autumn, it’s the passengers of line 6 who have just received the news, with several service interruptions expected.

More or less inconvenient closures

On the mint green line, there are more or less significant traffic interruptions expected twice in October 2025. Initially, no trains will run on the entire line on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19. For 2 days, there will be no stops served, and no connections will be ensured. A

In a second phase, the section between Place d'Italie and La Motte-Picquet-Grenelle will be affected— that's over half of the line, just so you know! For 10 days, from October 20 to 30, no trains will run between these two stations, which will therefore receive the temporary yet honorable title of temporary terminus. Of the 11 stations impacted, you know the drill, no connections, but a replacement bus.

Modernizing, again and always

Once again, the various service interruptions are due to modernization work on line 6. As you can read on the RATP, the goal is simple: “to maintain the tracks and modernize the transport infrastructure.” The only thing we hope for is that by modernizing left and right, we’ll soon be able to enjoy an exceptional metro, with no delays, no closures, and no necessary repairs every other day. And in the end, that’s all we need to help us cope with those interruptions, right?
