Metro: the worst line in Paris is closed this Sunday

As joy and happiness reign, temperatures are expected to drop slightly this weekend (and let’s just say we’re already tearing up at the idea of a night that’s almost cool), it’s a tough blow for users of the worst line in the capital, who won’t be able to make the most of it this Sunday. Indeed, Line 13 will be temporarily inaccessible, much to the dismay of those users (whether they have to or not, we don’t judge anyone).

Towards a Bright Future

We know that stepping onto Line 13 is like getting a taste of hell. With technical issues, packed trains that sometimes require standing in line for ages, and endless delays, some are willing to take 4 transfers instead of riding it, even for just 5 minutes. This line is widely recognized as the worst in Paris, yet it could still experience...It's going to be a second youth very soon.

Indeed, these various projects aim solely to carry out modernization work, so we can enjoy a line that will be much more pleasant and efficient. So the only solution is to grin and bear it while keeping in mind the reward for facing the disruptions that keep piling up, like what’s happening this Sunday, June 28.

A bit of a complicated morning

In detail, the line will be completely inaccessible along its entire length, from the start of service until noon, and of course no connections will be available. However, a replacement bus will be provided between the stations Asnières–Gennevilliers–Les Courtilles and Porte de Clichy only. For the rest, you'll need to figure things out by showing a bit of creativity and by using the other bus and metro lines available to you.

Good news, though! This Sunday closure will be the last one for a little while, as no other weekends will be affected until August 2nd! Unfortunately, don’t celebrate too soon, closures are already planned throughout the summer — from July 6 to 26 between Châtillon – Montrouge and Malakoff – Rue Étienne Dolet, and from July 31 to August 17 between Saint-Denis – Université and La Fourche to keep it short. Come on, stay strong, Bonbecs !
