Metro: This favorite line of ours in Paris closed all next week

Since the start of the school year, the metro continues to cause headaches, for example closing at least one of its lines every Sunday. And apparently, next week, you won't even have to wait for the weekend to be in trouble, because starting Monday, October 19, one of the network's 16 lines will act up, leaving us without no fewer than 7 stations all week long. Let's break it down for you.

A good chunk of the line in chaos

Ladies and gentlemen, dear Bonbon readers, we prefer to warn you, if you take line 2 of the Paris metro daily, next week, you'll need to arm yourself with patience. And for good reason, 7 stations will be inaccessible from October 19 to 25. Even worse

Again, the (almost) one-third inaccessible section is undoubtedly our favorite part of the line. To be specific, no trains will run between Barbès-Rochechouart and Père Lachaise, leaving us without the stops La Chapelle, Stalingrad, Jaurès, Colonel Fabien, Belleville, Couronnes, and Ménilmontant. For their part, the first two stations mentioned will be elevated to the temporary but no less honorific status of terminus. No connections will obviously be available, but a replacement bus will be put in place for the entire period.

A project to reach seventh heaven

According to information provided by RATP, this interruption is part of renovation work on the viaduct tracks, which make up the entire elevated section of the line. We have to admit that while we understand the closure of stations from La Chapelle to Colonel Fabien, we're a bit more puzzled by the ones that follow, especially Barbès which apparently slipped through the cracks. But anyway, we imagine that the transit authority knows what it's doing, and that there's a good reason for all of this! In the meantime, hang in there everyone for the week ahead!
