Indeed, autumn has not been easy at all for line 12 (a.k.a the one with the most beautiful color, let's set that straight once and for all). So, while it had already faced traffic disruptions for two days in mid-October, here we go again at the beginning of November. And this time, goodness gracious, the interruption is expected to last a whole week! That's sure to put a good number of Parisians in a bind.
A troublesome week ahead
To be a little more specific, the pine green line will be closed from Monday, November 10 to Sunday, November 16 inclusive, between the stations Mairie d’Issy and Montparnasse – Bienvenue. So, that's 8 stations that will be completely inaccessible for a week, with no metro service, and of course, no connections: Falguière, Pasteur, Volontaires, Vaugirard, Convention, Porte d.
At Versailles, Corentin Celton, and the Mairie d'Issy, they are the usual terminus. During the entire period of the works, a replacement bus will be put in place between the two stations by RATP, and we thank them for this kind gesture. On its side, the station Montparnasse – Bienvenue will be designated as a temporary terminus. Other routes will also be available on the other metro lines, with a few unexpected changes left and right.[#travaux #ligne12] ⚠️ Dans le cadre de l’arrivée des trains #MF19, votre ligne sera fermée entre Montparnasse – Bienvenüe et Mairie d’Issy du lundi 10 au dimanche 16 novembre inclus.

Taking a Step Back to Leap Forward
This traffic interruption, while slightly inconvenient, let’s be honest, is actually great news. It has only one goal: to carry out preparatory work for the launch of the new MF19 trains, which are more modern, more efficient, and more inclusive. These recent additions (just on October 16th to be precise) on line 10 are set to replace the trains on 6 other lines: namely, 3, 3 bis, 7, 7 bis, 8, and 13. So, get ready for a number of closures ahead!
