If going back to work in Paris at the end of summer is hard, it’s even tougher when you wake up every morning with a fear of finding your favorite metro line or station completely closed. Unfortunately, this could very well happen to the users of one of the lines in Paris, namely line 12. Fortunately, since at Bonbon, we are super nice and truly care about your well-being, we’re already sharing all the information to help you get organized.

A few days ago, we sadly learned about the closure of line 10 every evening of the week. And it seems that it's not going to stop there, since the months of October and November are already...The situation on line 12 is already looking complicated. Indeed, there will be disruptions at least 4 times between October 5 and November 16, due to partial or total interruptions.

In detail, the line will be inaccessible on Sunday, October 5 and Friday, October 10 from 10 PM until the end of service. Additionally, it will be closed all day during the weekend of October 11 and 12 between the stations Montparnasse – Bienvenüe and Porte de Versailles. Another inconvenience to keep in mind is a complete closure between the stations Montparnasse – Bienvenüe and Mairie d’Issy, from Monday, November 10 to Sunday, November 16 inclusive. During all these times, no trains will run, and no connections will be available.


Taking a step back to jump forward

These traffic interruptions, while slightly inconvenient for some, are actually great news! Indeed, they have a single and only goal: to carry out important work.Preparation UX for the launch of the new MF19 trains. These are expected to debut in autumn 2025 (without more details for now) on line 10, before replacing the trains on 6 other lines: 3, 3 bis, 7, 7 bis, 8, and 13. So get ready for a number of closures ahead!
