Since the beginning of the year, due to modernization work, line 6 has experienced a number of partial or total closures. And it doesn’t look like it will get any better this summer, as RATP announced on its website that one of the stations on the line will be completely inaccessible from June 30 to September 28, 2025. A real hassle ahead for fans of the light green line.
An Unexpected Reason
Dear residents of the northern 15th arrondissement, get ready for 3 months of hell. Starting from June 30, the Cambronne station, served by line 6 of the metro, will be completely inaccessible, and this until September 28, which means nearly 3 months of total interruption. The reason? Not modernization or track repairs, but simply the...
Replacement of the mechanical escalators at the station. Just a reminder, this station is one of the few elevated stops in the capital, and you have to climb quite a few steps to reach the platforms. It’s extremely unpleasant, but thankfully this is eased a bit by the fact that the station La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle, also served by line 6, is less than 4 minutes away on foot. Phew.[#Travaux #Ligne6] ⚠️ La station Cambronne sera fermée du 30 juin au 28 septembre 2025 inclus, en raison de travaux de remplacement d’escaliers métalliques. #RATP

The Start of the Struggles
As we reminded you at the beginning of the article, however, the closure of Cambronne might be the least of your worries this summer, since 9 other lines of the Paris transport network will be completely or partially out of service at one time or another throughout the summer. Endless struggles that will take place from June 28 to August 31. And to top it off, the start of the school year will not bring a return to normal, as RATP has already announced a shutdown of the same line 6 from October 20 to 30, between the stations La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle and Place d’Italie. Super!
