No matter what they say, the metro in Paris is incredibly handy. It allows you to get just about anywhere in no time at all (except for the bike, of course). However, often (too often) the journeys can turn into real escape games due to the frequent interruptions. And this weekend is no exception, with two of the busiest lines in the city completely closed this sunday. We’ll fill you in on all the details.

Line 14, a contradictory line

A few weeks ago, the purple line of the Paris network was voted among the best in the world. Given its reliability, speed, and comfort, it's easy to see why. The only problem, ...

A replacement bus will operate between the stations Gare de Lyon and Olympiade. If you have a flight that day, we suggest you give yourself a little extra time!

Here's the scoop: no train between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and Nation, and no connections either. But there's a little twist: 2 replacement buses will be running between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and La Motte-Picquet – Grenelle, as well as between Daumesnil and Nation. In either case, these various closures are necessary due to modernization works of all kinds. And we're just getting started, as a number of interruptions are already announced for the weeks and months to come, especially this summer when no less than 9 lines will be affected…
