After months of crying every morning at the gray skies, the beautiful weather is finally back to celebrate the start of summer. One thing's for sure, the weather gods don't do things halfway, with temperatures reaching up to 37°C in the coming days.

We were waiting for the warmth to return, and it looks like we'll be greeted with a heatwave. Honestly, we weren't expecting this much, but with only a few days until summer arrives, we'll take whatever we can get! The weather forecast for the week? It's going to be getting hotter and hotter as the days go by. A little tip: get ready with your fan-cap-mister combo as soon as you can!


A heatwave to celebrate the start of summer

For the past few weeks, the entry into summer has been happening gradually in the capital, but this week of June 21, there's no turning back - we've definitely crossed a threshold. Indeed, starting this Monday,

i 16 and all the way through the weekend, the temperatures will rise throughout the week, giving us a beautiful heatwave starting this Thursday, which means at least 3 days of daily temperatures above 31°C and nighttime temperatures over 21°C.

This week starts off with temperatures hovering around 30°C, before exceeding it starting Wednesday. From then on, the thermometer will go up, up, up until it hits a record temperature of 37°C this Sunday, June 22nd. It looks like we’re in for a wonderfully sunny week, which might be a bit tough for those sensitive to the heat. Either way, it’s mandatory sunscreen for everyone. And let's go for 50 SPF, because no, that doesn’t stop you from tanning, and it actually protects you better and longer!


Beautiful weather, but for how long?

So, we have a week of nice weather ahead, perfect for kicking off summer in style. But is this lovely season here to stay ?
