After a brief appearance of the collection in the restaurant of the brand in Saint-Tropez this summer, Louis Vuitton is now taking a step further and offering a whole range of plates, dishes, and coffee cups for permanent sale. But if you were planning on using this for a nice Christmas gift, the price might make you lose your appetite very quickly...

It leaves us hungry

Clearly, if family dinners at your place often turn into chaos with plates flying everywhere, don't bring out your Vuitton plates for the Christmas meal. Just to give you an idea, a set of 2 plates costs between 180 and 300€ depending on the size. And these are the cheapest ones. So, if you want to host a normal number of people for a meal, it seems like you'll have to break the bank, and that hurts a little.

Especially because, let's be honest, the patterns are nice, but they don't really stand out. To sum it up: a classic white background with small dark blue designs on top. The brand's famous flower-shaped monograms are everywhere, just to make it abundantly clear where they come from. In short, it's a bit too simple (and flashy) for our taste.

And what's a little unattractive here is that, beyond wanting to really highlight the art of tableware, it seems to be just a marketing strategy from Maison Vuitton. Yes, several studies have shown recently that the tableware market is booming in France, and people are willing to invest in new pieces for their homes. So it's no wonder that Louis Vuitton wants to hop on the trend and offer their own collection of plates and dishes.

more and more money in it. So we refuse to play this little game, and we will settle for our good old plates IKEA (and the lack of means has nothing to do with it).
