For the past few weeks, the RATP has been bombarding us with lengthy construction announcements for the coming year. 9 months of closures at République, frequent nighttime interruptions on line 12, no RER A at Nation all summer long… These are long-term projects that have pulled us away from our original mission: to stay informed in a timely manner. One closure has slipped right by us: the RER B every evening, starting January 5th. Luckily, this disruption is so lengthy that there’s still plenty of time to fix this oversight.

Months of hassle ahead

When you live in the capital, or even worse, in the suburbs, getting home at night can quickly become an obstacle course.s of the fighter, due to the end of public transportation around 1 or 2 AM depending on the day of the week. And during the first half of the year, for some people living on the RER B, the sentence falls much earlier each evening.

Indeed, the light blue line is completely closed every day starting from 10:45 PM from Châtelet-les-Halles towards Charles-de-Gaulle Airport 2-TGV and Mitry-Claye — which means both branches of northwestern Paris — since January 5th, and until May 28th! A Few Exceptions to Lift Our Spirits

Fortunately, during the next 4 months, some dates will be exceptions, allowing you to get home no matter the hour — at least until the usual service ends. So make sure to note in your calendars February 5th, April 6th, and May 1st, 8th, 14th, 15th, and 25th. It’s worth noting that the RATP has kindly given us a break during the

And just to reassure you, a replacement bus departing from Gare du Nord has been arranged for the entire duration of the works. It will be divided into three lines: the B2 towards Aulnay-sous-Bois (passing through La Plaine-Stade de France, La Courneuve-Aubervilliers, Le Bourget, Drancy, and Le Blanc-Mesnil), the B3 towards Mitry-Claye, and the B4 for Charles de Gaulle Airport. Well, despite that, we understand that some people might find the wait a bit long.
