Making science accessible to everyone
It was in 1937 that the Palace of Discoveries joined the Grand Palais for the World Exposition. Inside, the sciences reign supreme. Initiated by Jean Perrin and André Léveillé, the place then became a unique museum in the world, entirely dedicated to science. The success was immediate, to the point where a year later, the place that was supposed to be temporary, became permanent.

Chemistry, biology, astronomy, physics, mathematics, and medicine each have dedicated sections, and live experiments are performed for visitors to see. The goal: to popularize science and make it accessible to everyone, showcasing its constant evolution.
A Temporary Installation to Replace the Museum During Renovations
While the museum has temporarily closed its doors, it hasn't forgotten about its visitors. Since 2021, a temporary installation located in the 15th arrondissement, called les Étincelles, has been set up. A planetarium and various exhibits allow you to dive into the stars or try out over 50 workshops to become a .Be a dangerous scientist for a day.
