The Whamageddon, does it ring a bell for you? This challenge of Christmas, which comes to us straight from Denmark, is quite simple: do everything in your power to not hear even once "Last Christmas" by Wham during the entire period leading up to the holidays.

A trend that comes to us very late
Among our Nordic friends, it's been more than 18 years since Whamageddon was born, and this somewhat crazy concept even has its own website for a few years now! It has since conquered various European countries, including England. The name speaks for itself. It's a clever mix between Wham, the name of the band, and Armageddon, the final war between good and evil.

And if the rules of the game are very simple—it's simply a matter of not listening to "Last Christmas" between the 1st and 25th of December—the challenge is more difficult to overcome. Because beware, this Christmas song released in 1986 proliferates as much during the holiday season as lice on a child's head.
On the road to victory
If you hear the song, you must immediately stop what you are doing and leave the place as quickly as possible. And if, unfortunately, you cannot escape it, then you will have to post a photo on social media with the hashtag #Whamageddon to signify your cruel elimination from the game. And this year, you must also make a donation to a charity.
e; GOSH, the association of a children's hospital. Because no, it's not just a stupid and mean game, and it can be used for something. We are the official partners of #Whamageddon!

This year, if you get #Whammed, make a donation at https://t.co/iWsDj1yc5u and we’ll give it to someone special.

Because we're nice, this year we're simplifying the rules even more and proposing the challenge in a reduced mode, only from December 20th to 25th. Consider it as a warm-up year, as we'll be much stricter next year.
And we especially have a very, very big thought for the 7000 participants who were eliminated all at once because of an ignorant English DJ who, during half-time of a football match, played the song without giving them the chance to escape unfortunately. We support them in this ordeal.
In defiance of #Whamageddon, I'm listening to it every damn day until Christmas. Twice. pic.twitter.com/GwI8Gpthnt
