Time has passed since the days of Connasse. Camille Cottin will be the mistress of ceremonies at the Cannes Festival 2024, announced on Thursday, March 14 by France Télévisions and Brut, partners of the event. She follows in the footsteps of Virginie Efira and Chiara Mastroianni, the queens of the 2022 and 2023 editions.

While at the Palais des Festivals, she will be greeting the jury of this 77th edition, headed this year by the acclaimed director of "Barbie," Greta Gerwig, and will be overseeing the awards ceremony twelve days later.

Renowned Actress in France, and Beyond

She first gained attention in 2013 with "Connasse," a series of hidden camera sketches where she played a snobbish girl. However, it was her role in the Netflix series "Call My Agent" (2015-2020) that propelled her to stardom. In the show, she portrayed a tough talent agent and quickly became a household name. Since then, she has joined the ranks of French actresses known worldwide and regularly interacts with Hollywood's elite. She takes on the role of Maurizio Gucci in "House of Gucci" directed by Ridley Scott and stars in the intense film "Still Water" directed by Thomas McCarthy.

Before stepping on the stage at the Palace theaters, Camille Cottin will be starring in Just a few days more directed by Julie Navarro. This debut feature film follows the story of a journalist, portrayed by Benjamin Biolay, whose world is rocked when he takes in an Afghan refugee.
