In Paris, finding an apartment is always like navigating an obstacle course. High rents, tiny spaces, and an absolutely overwhelming number of requests… With 830 applications on average for a studio in Paris, the housing crisis is only getting worse. To try to address this issue, a 25-year-old woman, Lilou Lombard, whom Le Parisien met, has created an app where tenants can "match" with each other.

Getting in Touch and Referring Each Other

What’s the name? Liltips. How does it work? A tenant who is thinking about leaving their apartment posts an ad to find a new tenant, but also to find their future home. Like the Tinder of property searching, an algorithm helps identify compatible profiles. Tenants can chat with each other to recommend each other to agencies and landlords. “The idea is to help people and streamline the market,” says Lilou. She is also firm: “The files…tenants may be refused » since the landlord always has the final say. Nevertheless, it can be reassuring that someone is recommended to them and that a first exchange has taken place.

A project born from the difficulty of finding housing

This unique idea came to Lilou Lombard when she had to leave her apartment after her roommate moved out. In May 2025, she posted a video on TikTok, suggesting to swap her current apartment, a three-room place in the 5th district, for a studio in the city center. The excitement was undeniable : « In just a week and a half », the young woman found a new apartment and decided to take the project further. She teamed up with Yannick Ogana, a developer friend, to create a platform that, by February 2026, already had 950 users per day
