Sunday evening, April 7th, a fire broke out at 146 rue de Charonne, in the 11th arrondissement. Three people lost their lives in the tragedy: two victims were found inside the damaged studio on the 7th floor; the third succumbed to a fatal fall after attempting to escape the flames through the window. Since the cause of the fire is suspicious, the criminal brigade of the judicial police of Paris has taken over the case and is pursuing the criminal lead. Explosions were heard as early as the afternoon According to information from Le Parisien, the criminal brigade was investigating on Monday for "destruction by fire or dangerous means" and "involuntary manslaughter". Indeed, the day after the incident, investigators were able to gather witness testimonies from the neighborhood, who reported hearing explosions on Sunday. The media police source has also indicated that the first was heard from 1pm. The gas hypothesis was therefore not ruled out at the time, even though the president of the condominium union had indicated that there was no gas in the building.

The Trail of Intentional Double Homicide Explored

In this cozy 35 m2 apartment, a sad scene unfolded - one body charred, another in cardiac arrest, and the third victim's fate was a tragic fall from a window. After the investigation, it was discovered that one of the victims inside the burned apartment had also been shot in the head, as reported by Le Parisien. The possibility of a double homicide involving gunshots is now being investigated and confirmed by the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office on a Tuesday morning.

The identities of the fire victims remain unknown at this time, while the individual who tragically fell from the window was identified through personal belongings found at the scene. His mobile phones and Navigo pass helped the authorities confirm his identity as the resident of the damaged apartment.
