This week, we're really going to freeze our butts off with negative temperatures and snow expected in the capital. Météo France has placed Paris and the entire northern part of France on yellow alert for the risks of snow and ice.

Last week, the Parisian weather, which had been quite mild until then, finally turned wintery. While a few snowflakes brought joy to both young and old at the beginning of the week, it was mainly the negative temperatures that hit the capital's inhabitants hard, especially those who were unprepared for this freezing cold. So this week, we learn from our mistakes and go out with the complete anti-cold outfit: hat, gloves, scarf, Moon Boots, and even sleds and skis for transportation. Because yes, the capital is going to turn into a giant ice rink, to the delight of everyone.Parisians.


Freezing rain and snow in Paris

According to our winter buddy Weather.com, we have a few days to prepare. It's a nice sunny start to the week, so enjoy it! Wednesday, it's rain and freezing rain all day, it cools down directly and then Thursday and Friday, it's snow and freezing cold! We'll be between 0° during the day and -5 at night with occasional snowfall that will wreak havoc in Paris. A "conflict of air masses" between the moist southern air and the cold northern air will create freezing rain, snow, and ice.
