When the former artwork by street artist Seth (Julien Malland) vanished, sacrificed to the thermal insulation work on the building, the town hall of the 13th district promised that the artist could return to the site. Thankfully, the promise was kept.
The One Who Makes Paris a Dream
Whether his name refers to the Egyptian deity of chaos or to the manga characters that filled his childhood, one thing is certain: his talent is universally appreciated. Bringing back all his travels and the insights he gains to the public eye, on the streets, Seth knows how to shake up our daily grind with works that are both committed and poetic.
Using the streets as his travel journal, he blends cultures, adapts to his environment, and delivers messages that resonate. After the Russian offensive in Ukraine, he hits the streets of Butte-aux-Cailles to create Ukraine in Progress. After the passing of the urban artist Zoo Project, he goes to Saint-Blaise to pay tribute with the child on his cloud. For the Palestinian cause, he creates a mural on a wall separating Israel from Palestine before erasing it that same evening, admitting that some walls shouldn't be beautified.

The Girl Up There
At the intersection of Émile-Deslandres Street and Berbier-du-Mets Street, you can find the artist perched on his lift, brush in hand. His previous work, a young girl floating in a colorful umbrella above a sea of dark umbrellas, may have been erased, but this disappearance gave him a wonderful opportunity: to evolve his work.
Today, he brings color and depth to this wall, giving us the freedom to interpret this version of the little girl, floating in the air. In the 13th, the walls often have much more to say than the museums facing them.
