New week, new traffic update Bonbecs! This Tuesday June 30th, just a heads up, the lights are orange, as no less than 4 stations will be inaccessible, with no connections guaranteed, and this (almost) all day long. But don't panic, once again, we're here to give you all the info you need to face this with ease.
Two specific spots
In detail, no trains will stop at the Argentine station (line 1), Charles de Gaulle – Étoile (lines 1, 2, and 6, plus RER A), and George V (line 1), from the start of service. For these stations, no reopening times have been specified just yet. A bit more central, the Hôtel de Ville station (lines 1 and 11) will also be inaccessible, but only starting at 9:30 AM.
g> this time. But it's the same story; it seems that the stop won't be accessible again until the next morning. For each of the four affected stations, the exterior access will be closed, the stop won’t be marked by the trains, and of course, no connections will be available, including with the RER at Charles de Gaulle – Étoile.
A Royal Cause
If the RATP website simply states that these closures are due to a prefectural order, we dug a little deeper to give you the full story. These disruptions are related to the presence of the King of Thailand, Rama X, and his wife, Queen Suthida, in the capital from June 28 to July 1. Their day's agenda includes a detour via the Arc de Triomphe to attend the ceremony of rekindling the flame, and a visit to Emmanuel Grégoire's new office. A decision has been made to close nearby stations to ensure their safety and the smooth running of their visit. Now you know who to direct your complaints to…
