Wow, can you believe it? A crazy and kinda creepy discovery. Picture this: Saturday, June 1st, around 9 in the morning, the workers at the Eiffel Tower stumbled upon some strange coffins. Five of them, to be exact. And get this, they were just chillin' at the base of the monument, near the Jacques-Chirac quay. According to the peeps at the police, as mentioned by Le Parisien, "three individuals" apparently decided to drop off these five full-size coffins right out on the street. Oh, and to top it all off, each coffin had a banner that said "French soldiers dead in Ukraine." Crazy stuff, right?

Inside the coffins, plaster

After the coffins were found, they were sent for analysis to see what was inside. When they were opened, it turned out they were filled with... plaster! The central laboratory and the canine unit both confirmed this surprising discovery.

The whole operation started when three individuals from Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Germany were discovered and detained for "premeditated violence". This included the van driver who was transporting the coffins, and his two accomplices, who were planning to head to Germany on a bus bound for Berlin. The Paris prosecutor's office revealed that these three individuals were taken to court on Sunday night for a judicial investigation on Monday, June 3rd. Was this a case of foreign manipulation? Sources from the police mentioned that the driver, who had just arrived from Bulgaria, claimed he was paid 40 euros to transport the coffins and his companions.

The investigation, carried out by Paris territorial security, will aim to uncover any possible foreign interference. This situation comes at a crucial moment, with Emmanuel Macron contemplating sending Western troops to Ukraine and backing the use of French missiles to target Russian military installations. It is yet to be seen if the placement of these coffins is a message to France; earlier in May, thirty-five red hands were painted on the Wall of the Righteous at the Shoah Memorial, indicating another Kremlin-led destabilization effort.
