On Monday, July 14th, the national celebration wrapped up with the traditional fireworks. In Paris, the dazzling pyrotechnic show began just a little after 11 PM, lighting up the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadéro gardens with a thousand and one colors. Many streets along the Seine were filled with thousands of Parisians and tourists, eager to be amazed by what was supposed to be a grand spectacle, although many were left a bit puzzled.

A Show That Left Some Wanting More

The theme of the fireworks was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement on climate change, as well as the cross-season France-Brazil. Over 1000 drones and 50 projectors joined the fireworks to create a show that captivated many.

te;senter the fabulous birds and other animals, but also the greatest symbols of France and Paris: Marianne, the motto, the Eiffel Tower...

While on paper, this show lasting about twenty minutes had everything to please, it disappointed many spectators who specially made the trip. The show was too short, lovely but not breathtaking, lacking a stunning grand finale... Many critiques were made about this performance which did not meet the public's expectations for a show from the City of Paris.
