It's super exciting news for all the movie fans and locals around the Opéra area! This Wednesday, July 10th, the Pathé Palace cinema, previously known as Gaumont Capucines, is finally opening its doors. With new screens and cutting-edge technology, this stunning architectural gem has been revamped to welcome movie buffs in a stylish way. Get ready for an unforgettable movie experience!

A reopening after 5 years of work

In 2019, the former Gaumont Capucines closed its doors. Five years later, the Pathé Palace emerges in the heart of the Parisian film landscape, after significant work. Leading the project is architect Renzo Piano, who worked on the interior renovation of the cinema as well as the restoration of the façade and dome of the building, both listed as historical monuments. The Pathé Opéra Premier, located just across the street and remaining open during these past five years, is now closed for renovation.

The Best of Technology

At your disposal: seven theaters with a total of 854 seats. The largest one has 431 seats and features Dolby Vision and Atmos technologies. The others range from 29 to 96 seats and have Samsung Onyx LED screens, Dolby Atmos sound, and ultra-comfortable reclining seats, similar to those found at Pathé Beaugrenelle. All these innovations come at a price: expect €25 for regular tickets and €9.5 for children under 14. CinéCartes and CinéPass are not accepted. If you're up for the adventure, Pathé Palace welcomes you now to enjoy Despicable Me 4, To the Moon, Horizon, The Count of Monte Cristo, A Quiet Place: Day 1, Kinds of Kindness, and also  !
