The richest man in the world, who is also the head of SpaceX and Tesla, and owner of X (formerly Twitter), will work alongside Vivek Ramaswamy, a candidate for the 2024 Republican primary against Donald Trump. « We will not be pushed around », asserted the latter on X.

A Ministry to "Dismantle Government Bureaucracy"

What will be the role of this new ministry and, more importantly, of Musk and Ramaswamy? These “two wonderful Americans,” as Donald Trump describes them, will have the mission to “dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excessive regulations, cut unnecessary spending, and restructure federal agencies.” Through these appointments, the president to be inaugurated on January 20 aims to form a “smaller government with greater efficiency and less bureaucracy.”eight: 400;"> » who will succeed in « sending shockwaves through the current American system.

The different figures of the administration progressively announced

As surprising as this news may be, Trump had been claiming for several weeks that Elon Musk would be part of his administration. The billionaire...has notably invested over 100 million dollars in the campaign of the Republican candidate. As of now, the way Musk and Ramaswamy will operate has not yet been revealed. For Donald Trump, this new initiative is described as « the “Manhattan Project” of our time », referencing the American research program aimed at producing an atomic bomb during World War II.

In addition to these two appointments, there’s also Pete Hegseth, a former army major and now a host on FoxNews, who will take on the role of Secretary of Defense. Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota, will be the Secretary of Homeland Security. She made headlines for refusing the mask mandate in her state during the COVID-19 pandemic.
