A journey through the east of Paris before reaching the Seine On the 14th and 15th of July last year, the flame had already crossed Paris. Nina Métayer, Thierry Henry, and Jamel Debbouze were among those carrying the torch for Paris 2024. For its final journey, the flame is once again making its way through the capital. According to the City of Paris website, it will start at Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement, continue along the Canal de l'Ourcq and the Bassin de la Villette, and then reach the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement. It will then arrive at the Seine where it will finally end its tour of France and the world, by lighting the Olympic cauldron.Voir cette publication sur Instagram

The great names of international sports expected as final torchbearers
Lit in Olympia, Greece on April 16th, the flame has since traveled a long way through more than 400 French cities. In total, 11,000 people have carried the torch. In Paris, 541 relay runners passed on the torch to spread the Olympic values on a larger scale. Who will be the last ones to hold it? The mystery still hangs in the air, but " there will be some very nice surprises in this relay of legends. The biggest legends of international sports will participate in this national relay. I'm thinking of Allyson Felix, Nadia Comaneci, Serena Williams, Pau Gasol… ", said Tony Estanguet, president of Paris 2024, on France 2 last July 15th. Only the last ones remain.
