It's going to be a "black day" for public transport in the capital this Thursday, September 18. Indeed, while the 4 largest unions of the Paris transport authority are on strike, a number of lines and stations will face disruptions, even complete closures. Organizers are calling it a "historic" mobilization, which is likely to complicate your travels throughout the day.

Significantly disrupted lines

In detail, only three lines will run smoothly, namely the automatic lines: 1, 4, and 14. Unfortunately, it looks like things will be a bit more complicated for the others. Here’s the line-by-line breakdown.

Line 2: 1

train on 3, only between Nation and la Chapelle, from 6:30 AM to 10 AM and then from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 3: 1 train out of 5 between Pont de Levallois and Havre-Caumartin from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and then from 4 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 3 bis: 50% of trains will be running, but be careful, only between 2 PM and 7:30 PM

Line 5: 1 train out of 5 between Gare du Nord and Bobigny, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and then from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 6: 2 trains out of 5 from Nation to Place d’Italie (6:30 AM - 10:30 AM), and between Nation and Bercy (3:30 PM - 7:30 PM)

Line 7: 1 train out of 3, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and then from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 7 bis: 50% of the trains will be running, only between 6:30 AM and 9:30 AM

Line 8: 1 train out of 3 between Créteil-Pont du Lac and Reuilly-Diderot from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, then 1 out of 5 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 9: 1 train out of 3, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and then from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 10: 1 train out of 4, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and then from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 11: 1 train out of 4 from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, then only between Rosny and Porte des Lilas from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 12: 1 train out of 2 between Mairie d’Aubervilliers and Jules Joffrin, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and then from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Line 13: 1 train out of 4, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and then from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

10 Stations Completely Inaccessible

On top of that, 10 stations will simply be closed throughout the day, with no services or connections available. And of course, we're talking about some of the busiest stations in the capital, or else it wouldn't be very funny, you must agree! This Thursday, it’s impossible to pass through Bastille, Concorde, Arts et Métiers, Villiers, Opéra, République, Trocadéro, Sèvres Babylone, Invalides, and Place de Clichy. There you go, now you know everything! We wish you lots of courage, and especially a maximum of remote work if you can!
