Vacant housing and vacation rentals as main targets
The measures that the new municipality wants to implement are numerous, starting with the fight against vacant housing — nearly 300,000 at the moment. In fact, a tax on vacant residential properties (TLVH) is going to be created to encourage owners to rent out their empty properties.

Ensuring the protection of Parisians

The City also plans to permanently maintain rent regulations, an initiative that's been in place since 2019, helping to curb rising rents. The next step would be to give residents of all types of permanent rentals the opportunity to report to the City in case of any violations.
