In a statement released on February 2, 2026, the Foundation that carries their names announced an exceptional donation of 14 works to the City of Paris and Paris Museums. These amazing pieces will join the collections of the Carnavalet Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and will be showcased to the public very soon…

Among the donated works, you'll find, for example, an original collage related to the project For Gigantic Packaging from 1967, as well as three screen prints and a lithograph connected to several of their Parisian projects: The Iron Curtain-Wall of Oil Barrels, Edifice Public Packaging Project (Arc de Triomphe), Edifice Public Packaging Project (Ecole Militaire).
and The Wrapped Pont Neuf. These will go to the Carnavalet Museum, while the Museum of Modern Art in Paris will receive the work Package on a Luggage Rack, as well as seven screen prints related to six international projects.
JR pays tribute to Christo and Jeanne-Claude
Before the autumn exhibition, there will be a chance to experience a unique event: inspired by the legacy of Christo and Jeanne-Claude, the artist JR will create The Cave of Pont Neuf, from June 6 to 28, 2026, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Wrapped Pont Neuf. Installed from September 22 to October 5, 1985, this installation required 300 workers and 12 engineers.
Designed in the shape of a cave, JR's optical illusion will create the impression that large rocks are under...which you can walk on, connect the two banks.
