The municipal elections on March 15 and 22, 2026 are approaching, and polls are popping up everywhere to try to estimate who will be elected Mayor of Paris. An Ipsos-BVA poll for Ici Paris Île-de-France was published on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, revealing new results. It seems that the candidate from the united left, Emmanuel Grégoire, is leading in the first round of the elections on March 15!

The duo Grégoire - Dati leads the voting intentions

According to the survey, they are eight points apart from Rachida Dati. He would win 35% of the votes, compared to 27% for the right-wing candidate. Pierre-Yves Bournazel and Sarah Knafo would receive 11.5% of the votes, Sophia Chikirou 10%, Thierry Mariani 4%, and 1% for the far-left lists. The survey also reveals that 40% of Parisians believe Emmanuel Grégoire would make a good mayor, and an equal proportion would be more in favor of Rachida Dati. 


Security at the Heart of Concerns for Parisians

The survey also looked into the topics that matter most to voters. For 51% of them, security is the top priority. Following that, the cleanliness of the city concerns 44% of voters, and housing is important to 38%. Parisians are also particularly focused on the environment (34%), access to healthcare (22%), social actions to support the most vulnerable (18%), supporting local businesses (18%), local taxation levels (17%), parking and traffic conditions...

Housing (16%), economic development and employment (15%), early childhood and after-school care (12%), support for the elderly (9%), and finally, cultural and sports activities (7%).
