See stars in broad daylight: it feels like walking on air! Yet, that's the amazing show that the Arietids will soon present us with. However, to witness this, you'll need to focus and take it seriously. Luckily, we're here to provide you with all the tips you'll need to have your eyes wide open.
The most powerful daytime meteor shower
Since 1947, the Arietids have been considered the largest known daytime meteor shower to date. But what exactly does a daytime meteor shower mean? You might already know, but a meteor shower is when lots of space debris burns up as it enters the Earth's atmosphere, creating shooting stars. Here, the word daytime tells us that it's an event that will happen in broad daylight.
In the case of the Arietids, the debris enters the atmosphere...The atmosphere is moving at over 38 km/s, and during the peak on June 10, you can watch up to 60 shooting stars per hour with the naked eye. And the best part is that to experience this magical moment, you don't need any special knowledge or equipment, just the ability to get up before the sun.
Ok j'ai juste ouvert mes volets 2s pour voir comment était le ciel si c'était utile que j'aille sur le balcon pour les étoiles fillantes, étant en ville .... que j'en ai vu une 😲😲

Two Weeks to Be Ready
So, to witness this amazing event, you'll need to show some discipline because there are certain rules to follow. First, the best time to see these stars is on June 10th between 4:15 and 5:15 AM, when the constellation starts to rise and the sky is still quite dark for viewing.
For the location, try to get as far away from the light pollution of the cities, and set up so you can hide the moon behind a tree or a building to be disturbed as little as possible. Stop using your phone about an hour before the big moment to avoid straining your eyes. Once everything is ready, just look towards the northeast and make a wish !
