Paris at the back of the pack
But hey, let's not get too excited just yet. Our colleagues over at Time Out have conducted the investigation, debated at length, compared the atmospheres, the places to hang out, and the importance given to pedestrians. And while the capital city does make it into the top 30, unfortunately, the City of Light is not in the top 3, nor even in the top 5 or top 10. In fact, Rue de Belleville is only 20th in the ranking, and our ego takes a (small) hit. But as they say, the important thing is to participate, and who knows, maybe thanks to this distinction, it could be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

No other French city unfortunately had the chance to be selected, and Paris remains our only representative. In first place, we congratulate the High Street of Melbourne, in Australia, famous for its abundant offering of international small shops. Such a cool street that it even had its own festival last year. Also on the podium, we find Hollywood Road in Hong Kong and East Eleventh in Austin, Texas.
