« This year, just like the previous ones, let's come together by the thousands to keep the values of solidarity and support alive in our cities ! », says Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris. For the 9th consecutive year, The Night of Solidarity is making its grand return to the capital and the Métropole of Greater Paris. In total, 33 municipalities are committed to reaching out to homeless individuals to carry out a count, but also to learn more about their situations and needs, enabling partners to act more effectively. The meeting is set for January 22, 2026.
Several thousand volunteers expected for the Night of Solidarity
For one night, volunteers—nearly 2000 each year—will cover different areas of Paris and the Île-de-France.

The number of homeless people increasing each year
Last year, 3,507 homeless individuals were counted in Paris during the Night of Solidarity — which is nearly 500 more than in 2023 — and 768 people in about thirty municipalities of the Greater Paris Metropolis.
Anyone over 18 can participate in this Night of Solidarity. Simply register on the City of Paris website in advance. You will then join a group of 4 to 5 people to explore the streets of the capital.
