The Navigo pass finally arrives on iPhone: here is the date

We already talked about it in 2021, but here it is, the Navigo pass should finally arrive on Apple phones by the end of May! Such great news, especially since this feature has been available on other smartphone brands for nearly 3 years...

After several years of debate with the brand, it seems that Ile-de-France Mobilité and Apple have finally managed to reach an agreement that will allow us, Oh, joy and happiness, to validate the Navigo Pass, but also to buy individual tickets, directly from an iPhone. Victory. The end of a long battle It's official, the American giant and IDFM have just come to an agreement, and, dear iPhone users, you will no longer need to spend hours searching the bottom of your bag to try to find your Navigo Pass. In a few weeks, to pass through the turnstiles, all you will need to do is scan your phone with the bitten apple!

And if the subscription recharge has been available for some time now, it's still a significant advancement for individual users in particular, who won't have to stand in line for hours in the metro just to buy a simple ticket. And it's, on paper, excellent news.


Already some limits?

However, let's not get too excited, even though it's a very good thing, and a somewhat expected revolution like the Messiah by some, not everyone will be able to enjoy this happiness. IDFM has announced that this feature will not be accessible to holders of a Navig .o annual (just like on Android too). It's starting off well.

To benefit from this service, you will need to enter your Navigo Pass in the Wallet application, or use the ViaNavigo app, like for other smartphones. It's not very clear yet, but no matter what, as the Olympic Games are approaching, and with the arrival of tourists by the hundreds, we think it's great news!
