For the second year in a row, the RATP is looking for students looking for a unique summer job, to come and help out on the T1, T2, T5, T6, and T8 lines. These are very busy lines, even during the summer, according to the group.

A Dream Job?

On paper, we have to say that it does have some advantages. First of all, the salary, which amounts to 2800 euros per month (gross, but still), with job security bonus, paid vacation, and 13th-month salary pro rata. All of this for 7 hours and 30 minutes of work per day. Additionally, it allows you to explore Paris and its surroundings in a different way. And it's super easy to apply, contrary to what one might think, as all you need is a high school diploma and a driver's license A or B.

However, the job does have some constraints as well. Shift work, which requires being able to get to your workplace without public transportation, as the days can start at 4 am and finish at 2:30 am. In addition to that, it may be a bit repetitive at times. But hey, at least you'll get to see different parts of the city and it's not that hard to apply for it! So, is it your dream job after all?ong>, which means in July AND August, as well as some weekends and weeks throughout the year (especially during other school holidays).

A Controversial Offer

Get ready for an exciting opportunity! Starting from March 9th to March 23rd, we will be conducting a recruitment period where candidates will experience "psychotechnical, psychomotor tests, and a selection interview". Those who are selected will then participate in a paid training program in June. During this training, they will learn how to operate the tram, ensure the safety of passengers and those around them, such as pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. They will also be responsible for checking the equipment's condition, making sure everything is working smoothly, and handling some serious duties. So if you're up for a challenge, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

This idea, which many believe could help address the issue of driver shortages during the Olympic Games (and not just be a holiday for everyone), has sparked a lively debate on Twitter. The RATP even decided to temporarily take down the job posting. Although the recruitment process was set to begin in just 3 days, we will continue to keep an eye on the situation.
