Paris, Paris, Paris… We're thrilled to escape you for a getaway, yet just as delighted to find you again when we return. What comes hand-in-hand with the capital? Its incredible transportation networkmetros, suburban trains, RERs. But a big network also means plenty of disruptions. Modernization work is underway throughout the summer, and during August, the RER A, B, C, D and E lines are experiencing major disruptions.

Short-term closures on RER A and E

One tip: make sure your phone is always charged so you can use GPS, just in case. Until the start of the school year, all four major RER lines are disrupted. On the RER A side, until August 23rd, traffic is suspended between Vincennes and Noisy-le-Grand — Mont d'Est. On August 30th, it won't be possible to

to get off at Nation station since it will not be served.

On the RER E, sporadic interruptions are expected from 10:20 p.m. or 10:45 p.m. onwards: between Chelles - Gournay and Nanterre-la-Folie on Saturdays until August 22nd, between Tournan and Noisy-le-Sec on Saturdays until August 29th, and also between Nanterre-la-Folie and Chelles - Gournay on weekdays until September 4th.

RER B particularly affected by interruptions

RER B is no exception. Until August 16th, traffic is interrupted between Gare du Nord and Robinson — La Croix de Berny. From 10:45 p.m. onwards, it is also interrupted between Gare du Nord and Charles de Gaulle Airport 2 — TGV / Mitry - Claye

From August 17th to 21st, traffic will be interrupted between Denfert-Rochereau and Mitry-Claye Charles de Gaulle Airport 2 - TGV

/ Mitry - Claye, Monday to Friday from 10:45 p.m. This will be the same from August 24 to 30.

From August 29 to 30, there will be disruptions on RER B between Gare du Nord and Denfert-Rochereau. Finally (for now), from August 31 to September 9, the RER will not operate between Châtelet-Les Halles and Charles de Gaulle Airport 2 TGV. Replacement buses will be put in place.

No Service at Stade de France

RER C users, heads up! Until August 21st, on weekdays from 11pm onwards, service is suspended between Dourdan la Forêt and Brétigny, between Pont de Rungis Orly Airport and Choisy-le-Roi, between Gare d'Austerlitz and Juvisy and between Gare d'Austerlitz and Saint-Martin d'Étampes. Until August 30th, the Orly Ville stop is not served.

On the RER D side, don't count on the Stade de France Saint-Denis stop, nor on the connection between Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon stations until August 16th. Disruptions are also happening in the evenings, from 11pm between Creil and Gare du Nord, Corbeil-Essonnes and Malesherbes and Gare de Lyon and Melun through the end of the month.
