It has become a true emblem of the capital. On July 26, 2024, the Olympic flame was lit for the very first time during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Since then, it returns, every year, as a deeply rooted tradition in the local culture. Indeed, it will shine again in the Tuileries Garden starting June 21 and will stay until September 14, 2026.

Chilled out and resting on the ground during the day, lit up and soaring in the sky once night falls. The Olympic cauldron is making a grand return and it fills us with joy! This big helium-filled balloon will be set up on June 21, a day celebrating both the Music Festival and the Olympic and Paralympic Day, and it will be taken down again on the Sport Day, September 14.

The cauldron returns every summer until 2027
Designed by the talented Mathieu Lehanneur, this 30-meter high balloon rises to 60 meters off the ground, above a flame of water and light—showcasing a commitment to becoming a more engaged and sustainable city. The goal is for the Olympic cauldron to return to the capital every summer leading up to the Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028. It's a somewhat magical way to carry on the Olympic legacy in the capital before passing the torch!
