Four people injured with an axe
According to the police, the events unfolded around 8 o'clock. Several people were involved, although the exact number is still unknown; what we do know is that minors are among them. In an interview with BFMTV, Reda Belhaj, the Île-de-France spokesperson for the police union UN1TE, mentioned the age of the victims. « What is frightening is the age of the victims (...) they are extremely young individuals, who according to descriptions, are around the age of middle schoolers », he clarified. There are four reported injuries, two of which are serious: one victim had their hand severed and another suffered a skull fracture from axe blows.
The fighting happened while the train was at the platform, so "neither the RER E traffic nor the station is affected,” emphasized SNCF. For now, the exact circumstances of the incident remain unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. Firefighters and police are on-site.
