After six years away from the stage and one year after her memorable performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games, Céline Dion's return was shaping up to be a unmissable event. It only took a few hours to understand the magnitude of the phenomenon: as soon as the registrations opened, the servers were overwhelmed with nearly 500,000 simultaneous connections, followed by over a million sign-ups in less than 24 hours.

In total, up to 9 million people have tried their luck to access the presale, a staggering number that reflects a rare excitement in the music industry. Fans from Asia, America, and Europe flocked to the platform to secure the precious ticket for one of the ten shows scheduled at Paris La Défense Arena.

The Hunt for Fake Fans and Bots

In light of this exceptional excitement, the organizers had to step up their game to prevent tickets from falling into the hands of bots, those programs capable of making massive purchases only to resell at crazy prices.

An innovative verification system has been set up, requiring bank information to filter out the "real fans". Behind this strategy lies a genuine concern: some organizations are trying to bypass the rules to create artificial scarcity. "What matters is not the quantity, but the authenticity of the buyers," sums up the ticketing.

330,000 tickets... and millions of disappointed fans?

In total, 330,000 tickets will be on sale for concerts scheduled between September and October 2026. That's just a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the global demand.

Additionally, there will be a first selection through a random draw before the general sale scheduled for April 10. The lucky fans selected will be able to purchase their tickets starting April 7, with a limit of six tickets per person. For those who aren't selected, don’t worry: a waiting list will be available, and new dates may be announced due to this incredible demand.
