Sarah Knafo. Remember her name well. Because the following sequence is truly golden. Sunday evening on BFMTV, the Reconquête candidate for the Paris mayoralty gave a masterful demonstration of disconnection. When asked about the monthly price of the Navigo pass, Sarah Knafo answered… « 52 euros, annually ». Yes, you read that right. Annually. That's twenty times less than the actual price, which is around 1,000 euros per year—998.80 to be exact, for 90.80 euros monthly.

The Navigo Pass or the shocking bill
After triggering general laughter and causing a storm on social media (which happily ran wild with it), the candidate took to Instagram to explain it was a « big slip-up » and tried to make amends by mentioning the lucky employees whose employers cover half of their subscription. One can imagine that in the face of the bad buzz, the phones must have been ringing and the crisis management team activated.

PSG: An Unmissable Club...
While forgetting the Pass Navigo might be funny or frustrating, Sarah Knafo's inability to name a single PSG player has sparked another wave of criticism. When asked about the number of Champions League titles won by the Parisian club, she dodged the question with a shy "last year." Three player names? Impossible, "but I'll tell you tonight," she promises before the Clasico.

... unknown players
Normally, this sequence wouldn't really bring a smile, but it's made even more delightful since the candidate regularly showcases herself on TikTok at the Parc des Princes, proudly holding her title as the number one supporter of PSG.
Between sports and transportation, this sequence reveals one thing : some candidates really do seem disconnected from the daily lives of Parisians... A lack of awareness that their opponents have been quick to point out, emphasizing that you can't just wing it and become the mayor of Paris based solely on instinct.

Cascade of Reactions
At the RN, where Thierry Mariani's campaign is struggling to take off, everyone had a good chuckle over Knafo's blunder, playfully dubbed “Kna-faux” for the occasion, and his "disconnection." On the center or left side, the reactions are equally outraged. “Behind the slogans and ultra-communication, there’s a real ignorance of the daily lives of Parisians. One doesn’t just improvise being the mayor of Paris!” lamented Pierre-Yves Bournazel, head of the Horizons list. Meanwhile, LFI Deputy Hadrien Clouet, a supporter of the unyielding candidate Sophia Chikirou, opted for irony, suggesting that we ask the candidate “about the price of luxury valets.”or « private helicopters ».

Only 34 days left for the candidate to study, or at least… brush up!
