1. Line 4: The most disrupted this summer
This is definitely the line to avoid if you can! From July 6 to 24, no metro will run between Les Halles and Montparnasse – Bienvenüe, a central stretch used by hundreds of thousands of travelers every day. Alternative routes will be offered, but travel times are likely to be significantly extended.

2. Line 12: A closure in the heart of Paris
Line 12 will experience several evening closures throughout the summer, but the main work will take place from July 16 to July 26, with a complete shutdown between Jules Joffrin and Concorde. These works are essential for continuing the modernization of the line and preparing for future infrastructure.
3. Line 13: Repeated disruptions
The most dreaded line by Parisians will not escape disruptions. The Châtillon – Montrouge station will be closed from July 6 to July 26, followed by a complete shutdown between Saint-Denis – Université and La Fourche from July 31 to August 17. There will also be additional occasional closures planned for August.
4. Line 8: Ongoing works
À pStarting July 22, line 8 is getting its turn for some construction. The République station will be out of service for several months, and there will be a traffic interruption between Balard and Concorde from August 20 to 27.

5. Line 5: No construction, but lots of people
It's not the line most affected by construction... but it could become one of the busiest. Between July 25 and August 16, the closure of part of the RER B and D will lead to a significant transfer of passengers to line 5, especially between Gare du Nord and Bastille. Expect platforms to be busier than usual.
Before you head out, a little tip
Even if your line isn't on this list, make sure to check traffic information before you travel. The summer works also affect several lines of RER, trams, and Transilien, with consequences that may ripple across the entire Île-de-France network.
