Abdullah Nuren, an Indonesian fisherman, caught on February 21st an strange baby shark in Rote Ndoa - a local archipelago. The problem? The mutant-looking shark scared the international press and social media with its big round eyes and its funny head. And for good reason, the small shark could be suffering from a rare disease according to David Shiffman, a scientist from the Marine Stewardship Council - a British NGO. "It's not something that I personally studied, but some of the experts I contacted reported that it is probably a case of partial cyclopia with a fused orbit, but still two eyes." According to our colleagues at CNN Indonesia, it is one of theRoi sharks about to be born that Abdullah found in the stomach of a female shark he had caught. The other two babies looked just like their mother, only the third one had this fascinating look. "Many people want to buy the baby shark from me, but I think I will keep it instead. I believe it will bring me luck," concluded the fisherman. At Bonbon, we just hope that shark fishing will be permanently banned to stop the trade of fins, especially in the Asian market
